CLEan Express Auto Wash Grand Opening Raises $3,070 for Hamilton’s Caring Closet

Hamilton, Ohio, February 6, 2020CLEan Express Auto Wash proudly announces the donation of $3,070.18 to Hamilton’s Caring Closet, which provides Hamilton City School District students in need with a box of clothing, coat, a pair of shoes, new underwear and socks, and basic toiletries. The donations were collected from CLEan Express customers at the company’s Hamilton Grand Opening/Free Wash Week held January 3-12, 2020 at the 6560 Winford Ave. location.

During the Grand Opening, CLEan Express offered a free signature “CLEan” car wash ($15 value) to every customer in exchange for a monetary donation to Hamilton’s Caring Closet. CLEan Express also offered discounted retail gift cards with all proceeds donated back to Caring Closet. Throughout the Grand Opening period, CLEan Express gave away more than 1,930 free car washes.

“As a new business to the Hamilton area, we are pleased with the outpouring of support from the overall community and business leaders,” said John Roush, CLEan Express Partner and Express Wash Concepts CEO. “It’s clear that our customers realize the impact that Caring Closet has to area children, and our hope is through our donation this incredible organization can assist even more kids in 2020.”

The Caring Closet is dedicated to improving the lives of Hamilton City School District children in grades K-12 by providing clothing and basic necessities to those in need. In 2019, the Caring Closet provided more than 898 boxes of items to children in the Hamilton community.

Since opening in 2015, CLEan Express has donated thousands of dollars and car washes to support Greater Dayton area organizations including Dayton Children’s Hospital, Dayton Foodbank, Feed The Creek, For Love of Children, Moms 4 Miracles, SICSA, The Alzheimer’s Association, The Community Table and Volunteers of America.

The Caring Closet is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Hamilton City School District children in grades K-12 by providing clothing and basic necessities to those in need. Counselors identify a child in need and send the Caring Closet a request for items. Caring Closet volunteers fill a box for that child with requested items including clothing, a coat, a pair of shoes, new underwear and socks, and basic toiletries, and the counselor makes sure it gets to the child’s home.
